— This is the largest installation I have produced – as well as the most invisible. The sentence THE CAPITAL OF TASTE is ‘woven’ into the facade by following the width of the windowframes, thus merging completely with the architecture of the CCHA, designed in 1956 by Isia Isgour. Curated by Koos Flinterman.
— A text mounted on the glass facade of the CCHA (Cultural Centre of Hasselt) Hasselt, Belgium. The Capital of Taste is the English translation of the slogan which the town of Hasselt has appropriated for its city-promotion. In English (unlike Dutch) the word Capital can also refer to a specific value system.
